Cookie Policy

What cookies this site uses, and why there’s no consent banner.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember something between page loads — like a preference you’ve set.

The only cookie this site sets for visitors

CookieSet byPurposeExpires
pll_languagePolylangRemembers whether you’re reading in English or Spanish, so the site stays in that language as you browse1 year

This cookie is first-party (set by this site, not a third party) and strictly necessary — without it, switching languages wouldn’t stick as you move between pages.

If you log in

WordPress sets its own standard session cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_test_cookie, wp-settings-*) to keep an editor logged in to the admin area. These are only set for site editors, never for ordinary visitors reading the site.

What this site does not use

  • No Google Analytics or any other analytics/statistics cookies
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies
  • No social-media “like” or “share” trackers
  • No Google Fonts or other third-party CDN that would send your IP address elsewhere — every font here is hosted on this server
  • No cross-site tracking of any kind

Why there’s no cookie-consent banner

Under the ePrivacy rules, prior consent is only required for cookies that aren’t strictly necessary for the service you’ve asked for — things like analytics or advertising cookies. Since this site currently sets only one cookie, and it exists purely to remember the language choice you’re actively making by using the site, no consent banner is shown. If that ever changes — for example, if analytics are added — this policy will be updated first, and a proper consent option will appear before any such cookie is set.

Managing or deleting cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser’s settings. Doing so just means the language switcher will forget your preference between visits — the rest of the site will work normally.
